My pads are made with only the finest of fabrics. They contain no PUL/barrier fabric and are completely breathable, yet absorbant. The fleece layer holds the moisture in and also helps the pad stay in place (particularly on the ones without wings). There's a soft flannel layer to go against your skin and either a hemp or flannel soaker (or combination of the two). Hemp is wonderful because of its antimicrobial properties and absorbancy. Flannel is nice because it tends to dry faster and is also very absorbant. Flannel soakers are 4 layers in the super, ultra, and maxi (3 in the mini), hemp are 3 layers (2 in the mini), and combination are 1 layer of hemp on top of 3 layers of flannel (1 layer of flannel in the mini).
Maybe you are wondering why I got into cloth....I have always had a very heavy cycle and have used every style of disposable pad out there, and always had leaks. Every style was missing one feature or another and just didn't work for me. I also suffered from frequent rashes and irritation during my cycle caused by disposable products. As soon as I found out about cloth pads I knew I had to try them, so I took all the features I had liked in the disposable pads and put them together to form my own cloth pads. Not only are they more comfortable than disposables but they are also better for you and for the environment (and in my experience don't leak like the disposables do). There is a channel system on all sides of all the pads, made with 3 layers of topstitching, that helps prevent anything from escaping the pad. I also have a contoured design, on all pads except the regular, to avoid leaks in the back (or for you stomach sleepers the front). I offer my pads with and without wings. I personally like having a variety of each type. The wingless pads work wonderful in womens boxer briefs (which are oh so comfy) , whereas the winged type work well in your standard underwear and you have a little extra holding power (if you move around alot). For those of you who just want a standard pad I also carry the regular (also a great value starting at only $5.00 per pad), which is just a standard rectangular pad with the channels.
